Collaboration for Social Justice
Explore how collaboration among organizations can enhance violence prevention efforts and promote social justice in our communities.
The Westside Intervention Network (W.I.N.) is a community-based movement committed to preventing violence, strengthening communities, and creating opportunities for the next generation.
Westside Intervention Network (W.I.N.) is a full intervention ecosystem where awareness drives action. Through transformative bystander intervention training and the BLOCKIQx real-time reporting platform, we equip communities to recognize risk, interrupt violence, and deliver coordinated, data-informed responses—empowering residents to protect and strengthen their neighborhoods.
We interrupt violence before it happens.
We turn bystanders into protectors.
We use real-time technology to save lives.
We Don’t Just Respond to Violence.
We Interrupt It.
W.I.N. is not just a program.
It’s not just an organization.
It’s a movement.
Westside Intervention Network (W.I.N.) was created to take a stand against violence and reclaim the safety, power, and future of our communities. Born on the Westside of Chicago, W.I.N. exists to shift the narrative—from reacting to violence to preventing it, from feeling powerless to taking action.
We are building a full intervention ecosystem—a model designed to meet people in real time, in real situations, and connect them to real solutions. From bystander intervention and violence prevention to real-time community reporting and coordinated support, W.I.N. equips individuals with the tools to act, intervene, and protect one another.
At W.I.N., our mission is not only to reduce violence but to create pathways for safety, opportunity, and long-term stability.
We believe true change happens when communities take ownership, lead solutions, and invest in their future.
W.I.N. focuses on four core pillars that drive prevention, empowerment, and long-term impact.
Our work is supported by BLOCKIQx, a real-time community reporting platform.
Equipping individuals with the skills to safely intervene, de-escalate conflict, and prevent harm before it happens.
Connecting young people with mentorship, workforce training, and opportunities for long-term success.
Partnering with schools, faith organizations, and local leaders to build unified, community-driven solutions.
We implement proactive strategies like safe passage initiatives, mentorship, and intervention programs to create immediate impact.
We build long-term pathways through education, workforce development, and continued community collaboration to ensure lasting change.
“Volunteering here gave me purpose. I know the impact and influence they had on my life and volunteering makes me feel good the I stand with them to help someone else.
Deanna Julian Community Member“WIN is more than an organization , it’s my family. When I needed help the most, W.I.N. was there. Rachel helped me find housing for me and my daughter, was the nudged I needed to enroll in school, and even gave me opportunities to work on their annual Juneteenth Festival! I show up every year for the festival to celebrate, to help the community and to say thank you"
