These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of BLOCKIQx, including our mobile application, website, platform, and related services collectively referred to as the “Services.”

By using BLOCKIQx, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BLOCKIQx, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that organization.

2. Purpose of the Platform

BLOCKIQx is designed to support individuals, families, organizations, and communities by providing tools that may help:

  • Connect users to community resources
  • Support outreach and intervention efforts
  • Provide safety-related communication features
  • Assist organizations in coordinating support services
  • Help users access education, housing, mental health, nonprofit, or community-based resources

BLOCKIQx does not provide medical, legal, law enforcement, emergency response, or crisis intervention services directly.

3. Eligibility

You may use BLOCKIQx only if you are legally permitted to do so under applicable laws.

If you are under the age required by law to use the Services independently, you may need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes
  • Respect the rights, safety, and dignity of others
  • Not misuse emergency or safety-related features
  • Not submit false, harmful, threatening, abusive, or misleading information
  • Not harass, intimidate, exploit, or harm other users
  • Not attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the platform
  • Not use BLOCKIQx for fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful activity

5. Emergency Use Limitation

BLOCKIQx may include safety-related features, alerts, communication tools, or support options. These features are supplemental only.

You understand and agree that:

  • BLOCKIQx is not a substitute for 911 or emergency services
  • Emergency features may experience delays, outages, technical issues, or limited availability
  • BLOCKIQx does not guarantee emergency response times or outcomes
  • If you or someone else is in immediate danger, you should call 911 or your local emergency number immediately

6. No Guarantee of Services or Outcomes

BLOCKIQx helps facilitate connections between users and organizations, programs, or resources. However, we do not guarantee:

  • That any specific service will be available
  • That any organization will respond within a specific time
  • That a user will qualify for a specific program or resource
  • That using the platform will produce a specific result or outcome
  • That third-party providers will act in a certain way

You understand that third-party organizations are responsible for their own services, actions, decisions, and availability.

7. Partner Organizations and Third-Party Services

BLOCKIQx may work with schools, nonprofits, outreach groups, intervention programs, service providers, or other community organizations.

We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, content, policies, or decisions of third-party organizations. Any services provided by third parties may be subject to their own rules, requirements, and policies.

8. Account Suspension or Termination

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to BLOCKIQx at any time if we believe a user has:

  • Violated these Terms
  • Misused the platform
  • Submitted false or harmful information
  • Created safety risks
  • Used the Services for unlawful purposes
  • Interfered with platform security or functionality

We may also remove content or restrict features when necessary to protect users, organizations, or the integrity of the platform.

9. Intellectual Property

All BLOCKIQx content, branding, designs, logos, technology, software, features, text, graphics, and platform materials are owned by BLOCKIQx or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the Services without prior written permission from BLOCKIQx.

10. User Content

You may submit information, messages, requests, or other content through the Services.

By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share it
  • The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • It does not violate the rights of others
  • It is not unlawful, abusive, harmful, or misleading

You grant BLOCKIQx a limited right to use submitted content as necessary to provide, operate, protect, and improve the Services.

BLOCKIQx is committed to responsible and ethical use of data to support individuals, families, and communities.

We do not sell user personal data to advertisers. Data is used only as described in our Privacy Policy and as necessary to provide, improve, and protect the Services.

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BLOCKIQx makes no warranties regarding:

  • Uninterrupted service
  • Error-free operation
  • Accuracy of third-party information
  • Availability of resources
  • Specific outcomes from using the platform
  • Emergency response or intervention results

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BLOCKIQx is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of data
  • Service interruptions
  • Platform errors or outages
  • Third-party actions or failures
  • Outcomes related to resource connections, safety alerts, or support requests
  • Any damages arising from misuse of the Services

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BLOCKIQx, its owners, officers, employees, partners, service providers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights
  • Information or content you submit through the platform

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable Illinois law, unless another jurisdiction is required by law.

Continued use of BLOCKIQx after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
